The Buffalo Bills rocked the NFL on Monday when they fired head coach Sean McDermott. Losing to the Denver Broncos was certainly painful, but the biggest issue with the Bills this year wasn’t McDermott’s making, but the lack of talent on the roster delivered by general manager Brandon Beane, who should have, at minimum, been fired as well. The Broncos won that game, but lost the war as Bo Nix will miss the rest of the postseason with an injury and while that doesn’t guarantee a loss, it leaves the Broncos with no hope, in reality. The New England Patriots will now get a free pass into the Super Bowl, but going up against the NFC makes it unlikely the Patriots can actually get another title after beating the Houston Texans this weekend. Finally, the Texans have some major questions going forward with CJ Stroud at quarterback. After a great rookie year, Stroud has fallen off and conversations around the league are starting to question his commitment and ability to run an offense. The Chicago Bears also lost, but need to just stay on track as they seem to be going in the right direction.
