On the day after the NL’s schedule release, it’s time for the Daily DLP to play the schedule game. It’s a simple, time-honored concept:
Go through each of the 17 games on the Detroit Lions’ freshly released schedule and pick wins and losses. It starts in Week 1 with the New Orleans Saints visiting Ford Field, and that one gets pegged as a W for Detroit to start the season.
The roll successfully but unevenly into the Week 6 bye with a projected winning record. Then it’s time for some NFC North divisional games, beginning in Week 7. The Lions roar through a prolonged homestand that gives Dan Campbell’s team a great opportunity to stack some wins and build momentum toward a playoff berth. A trip to Germany for a home game launches the most difficult portion of Detroit’s 2026 schedule.
In the end, it comes down to a Week 18 showdown with the Packers in Green Bay, with a division title potentially in the balance. A healthy Lions team–which is never a sure thing, unfortunately–rides to the postseason with a viable shot at the team’s first Super Bowl appearance and a 12-5 record.
