The Daily DLP returns to the 206 NFL Draft with a look at how a multitude of draft analysts graded the Detroit Lions selections. Using the NFL Draft GPA chart from Rene Bugner as a guide, we get into the highs and lows of a team draft grade average that lands Detroit right in the middle of the NFL.

Looking at the highest and lowest grades given to the Lions, the explanations for each do make some sense. Most graders really liked the Lions addressing the offensive tackle hole with the first pick, even if they don’t necessarily love Blake Miller as a player. Even the lowest graders really liked the Lions landing feisty CB Keith Abney in the fifth round, too.

Then it’s on to the Isaac TeSlaa trade. Made in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Lions dealt away two third-round picks from the 2026 draft. What became of those picks is the basis for valuing TeSlaa as a draft choice. It’s too early to judge the outcome yet, but the early returns look pretty good for Detroit.

May the 4th be with you, always…
