The Daily DLP takes a look around the NFL at some of the remaining free agents who are still unsigned after the 2026 NFL Draft. With rookie minicamps going on around the league, but not in Detroit, some players have shaken free from other teams that might garner some Lions fan interest, but the reality is that players who weren’t good enough to stick in Las Vegas or Cleveland aren’t going to be players who can be expected to help a far more successful team like the Lions.
The Lions not having the rookie minicamp means the bottom of the roster remains safe for now. That might change if the Lions look to tap into the veteran free agent market once training camp begins, but there shouldn’t be a rush from either Detroit or the FAs to make anything happen beforehand.
We also break down the NFL Draft canard that was the Lions alleged interest in Alabama OL Kadyn Proctor. It looks to be a prime example of a canary trap operated by the master of that move, Lions front office assistant John Dorsey. What will come of it? That remains to be seen, but the trap certainly sprang.
