The Daily DLP welcomes in Justin Melo from NFL Draft on SI to talk about the Lions draft class. Melo is someone who loves to interview NFL Draft prospects, and he had a great sit-down conversation with Lions first-round pick Blake Miller.
Miller fits exactly what the Lions wanted in both a football player and a person off the gridiron, based on his conversation. The Clemson RT is one of the players whom Melo identified as a ready-made starter in a recent piece. He’s also a fan of Lions second-round pick Derrick Moore, pointing out that an ill-timed change at Michigan likely kept Moore from being viewed as a higher pick.
Melo also covers the Tennessee Titans, and we chatted about the general state of one of the NFL’s mystery teams. The Titans will have no nationally televised games for the second season in a row, and that means the Lions fans probably don’t know a lot about what to expect from the Lions’ Week 14 opponent in the 2026 season. New coach, new mindset in Tennessee that echoes some of what was happening in Detroit in 2021.
