Josh Jacobs is on the commissioner’s exempt list, which means he doesn’t count against Green Bay’s roster but also can’t play — a suspension in everything but name, with no timeline attached. He could be back in November. He might not play again at all. Nobody knows. What isn’t in question is the production: since arriving in Green Bay, he’s scored at close to a touchdown-per-game pace. He also can’t be stashed on IR, so rostering him burns a bench spot indefinitely. Is there a price low enough to speculate here, or is this backfield untouchable right now?
