The Pittsburgh Steelers’ schedule revealed another late season gauntlet with several playoff teams and the Steelers’ toughest divisional matchups. Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette argues that’s a reason the Steelers MUST stack early wins in their schedule to make the playoffs. What are the best matchups for the Steelers in the early part of the season that give them a chacne to build an early lead? And which teams could be the toughest challenges?
Also, Chris notes three wild schedule patterns for the Steelers, some that are disadvantages. The Steelers playing for a third time in a row against the Eagles in Philadelphia is a bad sign and a difficult streak to beat as the Steelers haven’t won in Philadelphia since 1965. The Steelers also didn’t get any favors with another road Thursday night game against an AFC North opponent, and their home game against the Browns comes the week after playing in Paris, France against the Saints. Could this be a disadvantage to the Steelers that ends a streak of home dominance against the Browns that goes back more than 20 years?
