Fantasy football’s worst punishment is a 1,000-piece puzzle of beans — who thought that was fair? And how does The Very Hungry Caterpillar end up in the same conversation? One league took its last-place finisher, put him in a dark closet with a thousand identical beans printed across a thousand identical pieces, barricaded the door, and told him he was not coming out until the picture was finished. A closet, a deadline, and a thousand beans is something else entirely, and it raises the question every commissioner should be asking before the draft: Is your league’s punishment scary enough to change how anybody drafts?

We cover all this, and the rest of the five worst last-place punishments fantasy football leagues have ever handed down, in a rapid-fire, ranked rundown hosted by PFN’s Jacob Infante. He has served a sentence himself — a beer mile, finished with a smile — and he has a few words for the dynasty leaguemate who came in last and refused to do his. Every league has that person. The fix is a punishment written down before the draft and enforced after it. Someone in your league will finish last in 2026. If the penalty on your sheet is a bad tweet or a funny profile picture, that person is already comfortable with it, and your league has no teeth. Build the list now, then build a roster that keeps you off it.

The Hottest Takes You’ll Hear
—————-
*The Hot List’s No. 1 punishment ends with a closet door ripped off its hinges after twelve hours, a finished white border, and a middle the loser never touched.
*The Very Hungry Caterpillar punishment forces one sitting of chocolate cake, an ice cream cone, a pickle, Swiss cheese, salami, a lollipop, cherry pie, a sausage, a cupcake, and watermelon — then a leaf the next day.
*Harry Potter is the costume of record for the June trick-or-treat run, which ended with a Canadian dollar, a can of soda, a box of Thai noodles, and a can of beans in the bag.
*Jacob Infante ran a beer mile as his own last-place punishment and calls it the proudest thing he has done as a man.
*Chavo Guerrero, at 55, outclassed Infante physically on a shared pro wrestling card, which is why he ranks the bodybuilding competition as unsurvivable.
